Who will be cleaning my home? One person? A team?


We hire direct employees and not independent contractors. All of our employees have undergone criminal background checks to ensure your safety and security. They arrive in a professional Right Touch uniform and bring all of the necessary supplies and equipment. We provide both solo and team cleaning depending on the geographic area, level of service, scheduling, and client preference. You will always find a professionally trained, cheerful, pet-friendly face in your home.




Will I always have the same person cleaning my home?


We make every effort to have the same technician or team clean your home each visit. This way they get to know your space, your children and pets, and your locks or alarms. And, you get to know them. Due to illness, vacations, and shifting schedules, we cannot guarantee that your cleaner will always be the same individual. You will always be notified of the assigned technician in advance.




How do you train your employees?


Our cleaning technicians and office staff are trained through a formal program in a method called "Perfect Maintenance Cleaning." Training includes orientation, reviewing a cleaning video and presentation, learning our cleaning manual, performing detailed cleaning procedures under the guidance of another professional technician, and being evaluated by an experienced trainer. We teach a systematic way to clean rooms with 13 proven rules to keep technicians focused so they do not miss anything. You should not be able to guess which technician was in your home. The ultimate goal is to have all of our cleaners give you an excellent and consistent clean.




Do I have to do anything before the cleaning?


In order for our staff to be most efficient, we ask that you help by picking up items such as laundry, toys, and clutter before they arrive. This allows us to move through your home more quickly, which can lower the cost.




Do I need to be home when Right Touch cleaners arrive?


It's up to you. You are not required to be home while we clean, but you must provide us access to your home for cleaning. We do not hold client’s keys. Clients usually provide a garage code, leave a door unlocked, use a lockbox, or share the location of a key they hide in a safe place.




Can my pets be out while my house is being cleaned?


We love pets! Please let us know what kind of animals you have and their names so we can take care not to startle them or accidentally let them outside. However, you may need to secure them if visitors make them nervous. If your pet is allowed treats, please let us know. We love to pamper them! For safety reasons, our teams are not allowed to clean up pet waste.




What if something is damaged during one of your visits?


If something is damaged or broken by our staff, our technicians are instructed to leave a note and notify the office immediately. We will make every attempt to repair or replace the item. If appropriate, we will file insurance claims.




How do I pay for your cleaning service?


Right Touch accepts check or credit cards. Please do not give checks directly to the technicians. Credit cards can be kept on file with us or we have a client portal on our website where clients can login to see invoices and pay for their clean.




Should I tip the cleaning technicians?


It is always up to you whether you want to give a tip. The majority of our clients do not tip. All technicians are paid employees of Right Touch. It is a nice way to show your appreciation, help the cleaner collect a bit extra, and make your cleaner feel good about his/her service. Generally speaking, if you decide to tip, a good rule of thumb is $10-$20 per service.




What if I am not happy with the cleaning?


You will receive an email or text after every cleaning with a quick survey. You are able to leave comments (good or bad). This will never replace in-home quality checks, but it will give us great feedback on which teams need extra support and in which areas. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any area our employees have cleaned, please let us know within 24 hours and we will re-clean the area for free.




Why are your prices so expensive?


Waking up on Saturday morning to a clean home with the freedom to enjoy family activities is priceless. Our prices reflect how much we value our employees. We offer quality services at reasonable prices to hire and retain the best cleaners for your home.




What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?


We ask our clients to provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment. A cancellation fee may be charged for all cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice. We make every effort to waive this fee by attempting to fill the opening.




Are you bonded and insured?


Yes. We have full insurance coverage, including liability, crime, and employee coverage (worker's compensation) that includes your home, our team members, and Right Touch. You are 100% protected. If one of our employees trips and is injured while at your home, it would not come back on the homeowner. We have worker's compensation for this. If an employee accidentally breaks or steals something in your home, we have liability coverage for this. If you request, we are happy to send you a certificate validating our insurance.




What cleaning supplies or equipment do I need to provide?


Nothing. Our technicians will arrive at your home with environmentally-friendly cleaning products and all necessary equipment. If you have products or equipment that you prefer, you are welcome to leave those out with instructions for the cleaners.




How much of the price charged to clean goes to the technicians?


Our cleaning technicians are paid by the hour, not by the job, so unfortunately, this is an impossible question to answer. However, I can tell you that we pay our technicians to drive to and from jobs as well as for all of their time spent at client's homes. At Right Touch, one of our core values is treating staff fairly and we have always paid much higher than minimum wage.




Do your cleaning technicians speak English?


The majority of our employees speak English and we have two teams where English is their second language. We translate cleaning notes into Spanish and office staff are always available to assist if any communication issues arise. We want you to be comfortable communicating your needs, so do not hesitate to specify if you prefer only native English speaking technicians.
